This is a quick refresher for anyone new to the iOS Developer course, the Apple Watch Developer course, the Web Developer course, or the OOP PHP course.
The courses mention where you can download the free materials, but it may be that you didn’t look for them right away out of zeal to get stuck into the course material!
Fear not, intrepid developer. These are the two steps you need to follow to get hold of the freebies.
1. Register with Eco Web Hosting
First things first, if you’ve not already, you’ll need to sign up to Eco Web Hosting.
The courses all come with free hosting, and so doing this will cost you nothing extra.
There are different URLs for each course you sign up for.
The Complete Web Developer course:
https://www.ecowebhosting.co.uk/cp/webdevcourse
The Complete iOS8 and Swift course:
https://www.ecowebhosting.co.uk/cp/ioscourse
The Complete Apple Watch Developer course:
https://www.ecowebhosting.co.uk/cp/applewatch
The Object Oriented Programming (OOP) in PHP course:
https://www.ecowebhosting.co.uk/cp/oopcourse
These will all lead you to a page that contains this form:
You can then sign up using your e-mail address, create a password and link your Udemy account to your Eco Web Hosting account using your Udemy username.
You can find your Udemy username from your profile page’s URL, after the “/u/” part:
Your Udemy profile must be set to be public in order for Eco Web Hosting to be able to verify your signup.
If you have a lot of courses, Rob’s courses may appear several pages into your Udemy profile, which prevents the verification from working automatically.
If this happens, just send an e-mail over to [email protected] containing your e-mail address and Udemy username. We’ll then be able to set an account up for you.
2. Get your course resources
Now you’re signed up, you can simply download your free resources from your profile page at http://www.ecowebhosting.co.uk/cp/profile.
If you’re signed up to the iOS courses, in addition to Rob’s e-book How To Earn $10,000 While Learning To Code, you’ll also be able to download the free iOS image assets.
If you’re signed up to any courses, but later sign up for additional courses, you can also use the profile page in your Eco Web Hosting account to verify them (if the courses you add are iOS courses, this will unlock the free iOS assets).
The documentation mentioned the courses
In the development tutorials, Rob makes reference to the course documentation. A few people have asked where this can be downloaded from.
The course documentation is actually downloadable as you progress through the courses as downloadable documents that make up chapters of the courses themselves, rather than something you download from a separate location.
If there’s anything relating to the hosting or downloads that I’ve not covered in this post, do pop a question on the course forums! Help is at hand.
